2025 in Review at TheFatQuarter Quilting | Longarm Quilting in Oxfordshire

Well, what a year 2025 was!

I had expected to settle into a steady flow of quilts, spend some time updating my website, and maybe even enjoy a few slower creative projects… but that wasn’t quite how the year unfolded.

Instead, you had all clearly been very busy, and I was lucky enough to be kept wonderfully occupied with a steady stream of beautiful quilt tops arriving in my studio.

And I must say, I absolutely don’t mind. One of the greatest joys of my job is seeing the creativity, skill, and stories stitched into every quilt that comes through my door. Each one is different, and it’s always a privilege to help bring them to completion.

Here are just a few of the quilts I remembered to photograph along the way…

Looking back over the year, I noticed a few lovely trends emerging. There were lots of scrappy quilts full of personality, beautiful memory quilts carrying special meaning, and plenty of bold modern designs alongside timeless classics. It’s always fascinating to see how quilting styles evolve while the joy of making remains the same.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with their quilts during 2025. I never take for granted that you send your hard work to my studio, and it truly is a privilege to help finish each piece.

As we move into 2026, I’m already welcoming more wonderful quilts into the studio, and it’s exciting to see what everyone has been creating over the winter months. I’m looking forward to another year of helping bring your quilt tops to life on the longarm.

If you have a quilt top ready for finishing (or one nearly done), please do get in touch. I always love seeing what you’ve been working on.
